When I was coming of age in the 70s, everything was "natural", and there was a time I was going to live totally self-sufficient.  Unfortunately, that is not easily attainable for mainstream America.  However, we can all make a start.  You can use Energy StarŪ appliances and compact flourescent light bulbs.  That's great!  We can't all live in a felted wool yurt.  Nor do we want to.  I'm so pleased to have received my ECO Consultant certification, and I am a sponsor for the National Homebuilder Mainstream GreenHome in Raleigh.  My own farm is for animals: sheep, llama, alpaca, dogs, cats and husband.  Spinning is my hobby and I am on the board of directors for the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair held every October.  If there's something you need and you don't find it here, please email me.  Whether you're buying or selling property, or just needing information, I look forward to working with you.
